Just Taxis appreciates the importance of keeping taxi drivers on the road and it has always been our aim to keep customer inconvenience to a minimum. That is why we offer every possible facility on site, to keep your taxi earning you money whatever the problem. From routine servicing, annual overhauls, LTI warranty work, unscheduled repairs or just those annoying glitches that happen now and then, Just Taxis is equipped to help.

Our workshop is staffed with fully trained mechanics and technicians with many years experience in looking after London Taxis. With eight fully operational ramps, we are able to handle a large amount of work in any given day and can usually book jobs in at relatively short notice. Always handy for emergencies that tend to arise when you least expect or need them, feel free to call and our staff will try to help you as best they can.

Servicing

Just Taxis Limited can service any LTI vehicle from a Fairway to a brand new TX4 and of course being a fully approved LTI Service Agent, we can complete any warranty work for your new taxi too. Our LTI diagnostic computer systems are regularly updated with the latest software to ensure that your taxi is repaired to current manufacturer requirements and any faults found are accurately dealt with so causing you fewer long term problems.

As is often the case with vehicles that cover large mileages, routine maintenance and servicing is vital to prolong its working life. London Taxis are of course no exception and can often cover four times the mileages of conventional cars. One of the easiest ways to increase the longevity of a vehicle is regular and complete oil changes and this is especially true of the automatic gearboxes fitted to the TX1’s and TXII’s. Just Taxis has invested in the equipment to offer you with the option to replace all of the oil in the gearbox at the relevant service time, not just the fraction that is usually replaced through normal gravity drainage.

Using only LTI approved parts we ensure that your taxi is serviced in the shortest possible time while you wait. Alternatively you can choose to leave your vehicle with us and come and collect it at your convenience. If you don't want to wait while we service your taxi, (providing you supply us with enough notice when you book in), we can supply you with a courtesy car free of charge, or for a small fee, a cab to work in. If your taxi needs more extensive work and needs to be left for longer, you can also rent a cab for the duration of the repair.

Buying a taxi is not cheap and we know that when you spend your hard earned money you want to look after it as best you can. Using an LTI approved dealer is of course prudent, but using Just Taxis is just common sense.

Tyres & Exhausts

Just Taxis always keep tyres and exhaust parts in stock for most models. We supply Hudson Remoulds and the famous hard wearing Michelin brand as well as the original factory fit Dunlops. Fitting balancing and valves are included in the price and we can even check your tracking and if needed carry out a full suspension geometry check and realignment. To ensure that your taxi’s suspension is in the best of health and that you tyre wear is kept to a minimum, book today and we will be happy to discuss your requirements.

Emissions Conversion

Global warming and the resulting public conscience mean that we are now all much more aware of the impact of older vehicles on the environment. Unfortunately, many of these vehicles are still very much alive and well and capable of delivering many thousands of more miles of reliable trouble free service.

The numerous emissions conversion kits that are available for older LTI vehicles, (Fairways and TXI’s) were upon their release, an unknown quantity within the trade. For this reason, Just Taxis had for nearly eighteen months, decided not to offer any particular kit until it had sampled and run examples of many on its own vehicles. As a result of this test, we are now proud and confident to offer our customers the ‘Cleancab’ System by STT EMTEC, a turbo based modification that improves emissions and performance while of course conforming to London P.C.O. regulations.
